Revenue Protection application
Theta has developed fully digitalised and easy to use technology for controlling passenger tickets and issuing fixed payment notices onboard the trains and at stations.
Theta and Famoco have delivered a bespoke application and mobile device solution for Revenue Protection Officers (RPOs). The FPN application was built on top of the ticketing validating device supplied by our partner Famoco. Famoco FX205 is an enterprise and user-friendly mobile device which scans and validates tickets with ease, and meets all types of ticketing methods for transport operators. Each RPO Agent has a Bluetooth Printer to issue and print FPN Receipts fast and securely. All issued fixed payment notices will be synchronized to the back-end system to secure the payment to the operator or to allow prosecution of the offender.
As a result, RPO officers have a much better working environment with a light device and easy to manage application which gives them the opportunity to validate much more tickets much faster and securely. In addition, manually written fines are history and people’s workload in the back offices has diminished. More fixed payment notices will be issued over the next years and the lost revenues for the operator will be decreased. Theta can integrate this solution to an existing backend or deliver the whole solution of new hardware, software and backed including payment.
